Chepstow Town FC was founded in 1878. Clearly, there’s a lot of history there – come and be part of that great history.
Our goal is to produce the best footballers we can, by providing the best coaching, facilities and environment for the kids to flourish and express themselves. We also want to support the proper development of each child as the mature into young adults getting them to adopt good standards.
All players are encouraged to express themselves playing the beautiful game of football in the Monmouthshire Junior Football League and the SWWGL League from the age of 5 to 16.
As a club, we are proud that 14 of our players over the last 10 years have signed for academies.
Mini-football is a modified version of the 11 a-side game. It gives children the chance to play real football, for a real team, whilst experiencing an enjoyable and fun introduction to football through small-sided games.
The point of mini football is to begin with fewer players on the pitch so that all players contribute to the game and have the opportunity to build technical skills. At this age, scores aren’t kept because the focus is on developing players.
Mini-football is for all children, irrespective of ability, under 11 on 31 August at the start of each season. It is also intended for boys and girls and young footballers with disabilities and learning difficulties.
After the age of 11 the game becomes competitive. As a club though we strive to ensure that all our players still enjoy playing, and playing in all positions. We aim for an atmosphere where the players are comfortable on the ball with nothing but support from the touchline. This run hand in hand with the
